My birthday present finally came today.

Looking forward to having it installed. I'll let you all know how it goes. I am planning on setting it on the firmest setting. I'll try to log some before and after 1/4 mile G-Tech times for comparisons sake to see if it quells the wheelhop. I'm still waiting for it to cool down to get some runs with the LM1 exhaust that's been on for a while anyway.
I will be interested to read about how the bushings work for you. I noticed in your post that there was an implication that you were going to have someone else do the install for you. Is this the case? If not, I would also be interested in reading about the installation.
Is the mitigation of wheel hop (US), wheel tramp (AUS), the only reason for introducing the bushings?
Before I get too far ahead of myself, I reread your original post, OO. Let me get something straight in my head. We are only talking about bushings, right? I mean you are not trying to slip a rear sway bar in are you?

Well the bar is on as well as the end link bushings. I just had it installed at my local Pontiac dealer. I had received a $15 off any service card in the mail and it was only $55 total so minus the $15 I only ended up paying 40 bucks for the install and about an hour of my time at the dealer. I probably could have done it myself but once having wrestled with a new end link and bushings on a car of my wife's several years ago I figured I'd save my back and knuckles on this one.
As for SOTP results, I can say it feels "tighter" in the rear. It seems the rear end wants to stay more planted and exhibit less lean through the corners. I haven't had a chance to try a WOT launch yet to see if it helps with wheelhop as I had to go directly from the dealer to pick up my son at school. So I'll try it very soon and give all my impressions. I did have the bar set at the stiffest setting (of 2 settings). It really doesn't feel any bumpier over railroad tracks or frost heaves than the stock bar. That's probably in the springs anyway. Think I'll do rear springs next. Phantom I'll get you the part numbers soon. But it is the 04-06 GTO rear sway bar with the 2 bushings as well as the rear end link bushing set (of 8) from SLP. So as of this moment I'd say it is a worthwhile mod. I'll get some driving time with them and chime back in.
