Thermostat issue

Good Morning gents, so I suspect my thermostat was sticking on me so I went and replaced it and now when I start my car it will overheat just idling. I burped it but I'm not sure if I did it right or if I need to keep burping it until all of the air is out of the system? Can anyone confirm this for me or give me your wisdom? My fans are working and my water pump is working also, and the thermostat was the 186. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you ever figure this out? When you run it to burp make sure your heat its on to open up your core. Also when you replaced the tstat theres a particular way its supposed to sit with the small brass breather.
