stock exhaust trouble
I have an '06 LS2, and happend to notice today that my exhaust tips are uneven in height. The passenger side is hanging about an inch lower than the driver side. Is there an easy way of fixing this, or am I just gonna have to use some elbow grease?

I had this problem with the '05 exhaust that I put on my '04...it was caused by the mid-pipe being tweaked. And let me tell ya, it was a pain in the A$$ to get straightened out. I ended up using strategically placed blocks of wood (between the pipe and floorboard) and a floor jack, to get it bent back into shape. The car I robbed it off of at Cleveland Pick-a-part had been wrecked HARD and it was bad enough to tweak the pipes.

As much as I hate suggesting this, perhaps you ought to take it to the dealership and let them worry about fixing the problem. Of couse I am assuming that you are still under warranty.

naturally. It only has 2,700 miles on it. I just hate going to the dealer. O well, that probably is the best bet.

Also, is there a way to display the average fuel, fuel left, trip, etc. on the guage display? I can't get it to stay steady, it just flashes and flashes. I've read the manual like 80 times and just can't get it to stay steady. Any ideas?

Flashes, like blinking at you? You should be able to push the mode button and scroll through the different displays. Its been awhile since I played with settings, but maybe you need to set them. I'll check mine later tonight, when I get home. When I have my odometer display on it also displays the avg. fuel usage. Trip "A" display(I believe) also shows current(live) fuel uasage. If its like blinking at you, it may have a problem and I'd have the dealer look at it. Good luck.

yea, i can't figure out how to keep the two side displays to not blink at me. I've done everything the book says. They'll set, but they blink.

Blinking side displays does not sound good. Perhaps I my mental image is not correct. If it is correct, you definitely need to visit the dealer.

My suggestion would be to take the car to a dealership for both the exhaust tips and the gauge cluster. I do not believe the displays should ever blink.

Let us know what happens with this. I am curious to see what the deal is with your display. I hope that everything is okay!

Apparently I had a Malfunctioning Guage Cluster which the dealer took care of, free of charge. They also attempted to fix the misalligned exhaust, but didn't do that great of a job on it. I ended up putting the elbow gease into it myself. Thanks for the help guys.
