Potential GTO owner

Hey guys, I've had my firebird for too long and was looking to upgrade. (its a 95 v6 lol). I was test driving a couple cars trying to get an idea of what i wanted when my friend suggested a GTO. Before that I was pretty much set on a 04 Subaru STi. I was definately impressed with the GTO. It was an 06 Black GTO M6 with 3k miles on it for 26990. I was hoping to be able to talk him down a little but besides that I was just wondering if anyone new of any disadvantages to the GTO. The only thing I'd say the STi has over the GTO is AWD and gas mileage (not too big of an issue). I love the sound of the LS2 and was thinking about a vette but didn't like the whole 2 seater deal so I think the GTO is what i'm going to get but just wondering about negatives. Also any 20 year olds with them here? if so how much is your insurance? i'm hoping not to pay more than like 200-250 a month for insurance.

Go GTO, I was going through the same deal STI or GTO and test drove each 3 or 4 times and I still came back to the GTO the only disadvantages over the 2 is if you have 3 or more people and in a hurry your done in the GTO takes way to long to get them in the back, but once in way better of a ride in the back of the GTO over the STI.

Things people complain about when considering the GTO:

1. Trunk is too small.
2. Power seats to slow.
3. Wheel hop off the line.
4. Poor fuel economy (I think it is very good for a 400 Hp V8).
5. Plastic floor mat clips tend to break.
6. Rearend not conducive to putting wide tires on the rear.
7. Strut rub in the front.
8. Bad struts on some '06's.
9. Bad paint on some GTO's.
10. Window leaks on some GTO's ('04?).
11. Weak shifter in manual GTO's.
12. Rear differential not built to withstand 400 Hp.
13. Lackluster styling (I don't subscribe to this for a second).
14. Big a$$ boomerang looking rear spoiler.
15. Too darn fast!
