Mine was a 1972 Oasis Green Vega coupe. It even had a spare engine in the trunk when I got it! I wonder why! I wish I had it now. V8 Baby!!

1980 Monte Carlo 3.8 V6 turbo. That thing would fly, till the tranny gave up the ghost. Replaced with a 1981 Camaro 3.8 V6, but no turbo. Those old 3.8's weren't much for power, but they would run forever. 1997 S-10, 2001 Sierra Z71 x-cab, 2002 Sierra Denali, 2004 Sierra x-cab ( I get bored easily ) and now 2005 GTO, don't think I'll be bored anytime soon .

1991 Pontiac Firebird V6...Had so many mods I can't even remember'em.

It was fast, fun, and put a lot of V8 Mustangs to shame.

I miss it still...I still consider getting another one every now and then to play with.

'65 Chevelle, 283 small block with a three speed was my first car. My brother gave it to me after he wrecked it. I fixed it and drove it for several years. I still have it and my "collection" has grown drastically. I hate to sell cars my cars. Here is my "inventory":

'65 Chevelle (as stated)
'71 Vega
'72 Chevelle
'75 GMC Sierra Grande 4X4
'93 C2500 Suburban w/454
'95 Caprice
'98 Monte Carlo Z34 (totaled, no longer own it)
'01 Ford Escort ZX2 (FOR SALE, wife bought it before I met her. She is now converted )
and last, but not least, my '04 Phantom Black GTO

...I am not done yet though, I am going to buy a '94 or so fullsize Blazer with four wheel drive as soon as I sell the Escort.

A 1955 Olds Super 88 4-door hardtop....Called a "hardtop" because the window area was completely open front to back when the windows were down. It had the optional 4-bbl. V-8 engine...202 HP.

Drove it like a "bat out of hell" and kept burning pistons....Could have been partly due to the fact that I set the ignition timing "by ear" for better performance!....Just kept turning the distributor, advancing the timing, to get the highest idle speed without having the engine kick back while starting it.

Won a race once against a friend in a 1960 Chevy with a 283 V-8 but burned a piston while passing him.....Guess that's what's called "winning the battle but losing the war"!

BTW, it had a 4-speed Hydramatic A/T that kept going out for some reason!....Had no PARK position....REVERSE was the parking position.

Now you know I'm an ol' codger who never grew up....Have had my '05 Goat up to 156....****ed speed limiter!
