Well my first car is the GTO. My first vehicle was a 1990 C/K 1500 chevy truck. It was a fun truck, 2WD, 350 TBI and a 5 speed. My next truck was 2001 HD2500 Silverado, it was the Lemon from hell, feel sorry for whoever bought it. So if you bought a black, extended cab, HD2500 from John Elway GMC/Pontiac in Golden, CO...good luck, you do have a brand new drive train minus the engine.

The GTO has been so much fun though, and so comfy to drive :dribble:

1971 Comet

1971 Mercury Comet, pop bought it for my 16th birthday, had a 1970 Mach 1 Boss 302 installed by Vancouver Ford, they had a mach 1 that was totaled so they pulled out the engine and dumped it into the comet, dad bought it with custom top and pea green color...ewww My Uncle is Phil Shaffer a well know painter in the hot rod community, (he painted Big daddy Don Garlits dragster and the like of such), so dad had him paint it and he hand striped it for $600...OMG not anymore...except dad though that it may have too much power for a young kid, so he had the local dealer put a 550 cfm two barrel on it...thing still would burn em off up the block...lol

No such thing. It's either a Boss 302 or a Mach 1. How did they get the Boss 302 to fit between the narrow spring towers that a 71 Comet has since it's the same platform as the Ford Maverick?

Dude...why does this even matter...
Apparently I did not word that right...its a 1970 BOSS 302 engine...that was in a 1970 MACH1, not in a BOSS...it got wrecked in the rear...the dealers owner, was the owner of the MACH1...they pulled it out...stuck it in a crappy little comet, probably bored, had to prove they could...how the heck would I know...I was 16...that kinda stuff did not matter to me...it got me girls..and that's all that mattered...8) I can tell you I do remember that changing plugs could only be done with a swivel end socket, there was literally no room in it...some where I must have taken a picture of it...not sure if I find it I will post it in this thread for you to gaze upon...8)

Thanks for the rip...

My intention wasn't to rip you. I was just correcting your misinformation. You still don't have your facts right but at this point I wouldn't dare suggest what's wrong since you apparently have trouble with constructive criticism. Besides, as you say, it really doesn't matter.

I have no problem with "criticism", I DO NOT CLAIM TO KNOW IT ALL like you have with Fords. But this was not constructive as you say...just a **** comment. When people seem to have a chip on their shoulder and have to prove it to everyone...your a sad little man...and that bugs me. There are dozens of modified Mavericks and Comets that have 351C and larger, this is nothing new, hell I did a search and found dozens of them with pictures, a few have had 429's installed in them and one has a 460...your are not all you think you are...

I really don't want to argue. I had pretty much let it go with my last post.

How about your first Pontiac?

Mine was my second car (first of 13 pontiac's), a 1969 Pontiac LeMans. Purchased in 1987. It had 62,000+ original miles on it and I got it for $800. 350cid/2 barrel/A3/buckets/burgundy w/black vinyl top.

My first car was a 1988 Pontiac Firebird 5.0 305. Im still amazed at how GM managed to get 170 hp from 305 cu. inches. Was a good car though for a 17 year old kid. T-Tops=leg room.

Due to the direction that my other posts in this thread took, I didn't ever post my first car. It was a 1958 Rambler Aimerican. Nothing special, only paid $50 for it (in 1967). My first Pontiac was a 1956 Chieftan 4 dr. station wagon that I bought in 1972.

That there is my favorite GTO. And the 389 was a sweet motor. Had one in a '68 GTO, it may not have been stock, but it was my first goat, and it was fun.
